What does Ide, SATA, SCSI, and SCA when it comes to hard drives??
Which is Best? what are the differences?
IDE & SATA are hard drive connections mainly used in home computers. IDE is old and SATA is now the present standard to connecting a hard drive to the motherboard. Cheap hardware.
SCSI & SCA are used mainly in servers. SCSI & SCA hard drives have super fast transfer rates. Unless you purchase a server level hardware for home use or a SCSI/SCA adapter for the home computer you will not find SCSI/SCA hard drives for home use. Expensive hardware.
Difference between SCSI & SCA is the capability for SCA hard drives to be hot-swapped, while SCSI requires a full shutdown.
