What is the name of this HD connector?
I’ve come into the possession of a laptop hard drive at work, and I’m trying to order a USB connector cable (I do computer forensics work).
The connection with the drive itself is not a 40-pin IDE connector. It’s not a 41-pin smaller IDE connector. And it’s not one of the split two-section SATA connectors.
Instead of female pin-holes, it’s got a flat center with 22 flat pins on each side, kind of like an old Atari 2600 cartridge (yes, I’m dating myself here). The four male jumper pins are off to the side.
It’s labeled as a Hitachi Travelstar ATA/IDE drive, but searching for that drive doesn’t return results that match this kind of connector. Any ideas as to what to look for to find the right connector cable?
