need help with laptop power jack or motherboard?
ok so is there anyway i can test the current power jack before knowing if the power jack is bad or if the motherboard is bad? is there anyway i can test the motherboard before taking everything apart. is there any kind of device i can hook the motherboard up to…to allow me to figure out if it is fully functioning or not.
Yes. You need a multi-meter and can check the voltage out of the power-supply. The power-supply should have a label on it telling you what the output voltage is. If the output voltage matches the voltage rating of the power-supply, the power supply is good. If not, its bad.
The motherboard you cannot check without expensive equipment that only the manufacturer will have.
