Can you tell if my motherboard’s cpu is upgradeable?
Hi thanks for coming . here are the specs
my cpu is p4
my motherboard is GA-8i865GME-775
it is written on my motherboard dual core cpu supported.
Since the Pentium 4 is a single-core (HT or not), any dual-core CPU will likely be an upgrade.

It says that your motherboard supports Pentium D, Pentium 4 HT, and Celeron D. The best of these three is the Pentium D. Even though Pentium D is not the greatest CPU in the world, it is an upgrade from your P4.
