Your system is very upgradeable but changes i’d make…

if you’re not going to go extreme, guess you mean you won’t overclock at all… then get generic 800mhz ram, it’ll still be dual channel if the sticks are identical, but will cost about $40 aud a stick instead of $90 AUD

Get a decen’t case, the one you have there is great looking, but isn’t really that good…. loud fans, bad ventelation, bad design and i can tell you now the front door will bug you after a while

but i’d recommend the antec nine hundred (no psu) or the antec sonata 3 (includes 500w psu)

the 8800gt is better value i’d recommend that (the gts costs alot more for not much more)

PSU is what you’d want, but make sure it’s a good brand, tagan antec thermaltake zalman coolermaster etc etc

500gb drives are better value, so i’d recommend that

i wouldn’t recommend ever actually using 3 videocards in your mobo, but the mobo is very good (if not very expensive for what your’e getting)

It’d be better value to get the 680i, same board but only does 2 videocards in SLI

Concerning the SLI itself, it’s a good upgrade path as in the future more games will support dual videocards and you can stick in another card for a huge boost

Ram is very very cheap now so go grab 4gb while it’s cheap, it’ll just cost you more later when you upgrade

Referring to the above posts, The GTX is an awesome card, although isn’t great value,

but the 9800gx2 is a hunk of crap

it’s basically two 8800gt’s stuck together that have the cost of two, but only peform at the speed of 1.5 8800gt
