what s the difference between the CPU and the microprocessor chip?
are the CPU and the Micro processor same thing with different name? or they do different job s ?
CPU means Central Processing Unit. It has only one job, to process data in to Information. 12134 , this number can mean an area code or a page number, this is data. 12th floor, 134 room no –> this is information. The MicroProcessor is refered as the CPU. But many mistakes this to be the tower. There is a reason for this aswell.
The tower or the Casing contains over 32 Microprocessors. The HD has one to control Spin speed etc. The AGP has one which is known as GPU. But the biggest and the most powerful which controls the rest is the Petium or AMD processor (main processor).
