What can I do to practice building a desktop?
I have always been interested in building a desktop, but I don’t want to spend a lot of money and then screw up on the assembly. Is here anything I can do to practice building a computer? Do computer building practice kits exist? I only want to spend around $50
There are no building practice kits for building a computer. If you have an old desktop, or can get an old (even non-functioning computer), then I guess you might practice by taking it apart and putting it back together again.
However, you’ll likely encounter different solutions for power, data transfer and so on – an older computer is likely using IDE and MOLEXes, while a newer computer is using SATA. Same goes for the CPU – Core 2 Duo onwards has a ZIF style solution for the cooling, and older computer … hasn’t got that. Bit of a nightmare that, I can tell you.

Take Control of Agent desktop – Your Customer Service Powerhouse
